Cognify pathway
Accessibility and safety details
The full detail behind the Cognify pathway: how you ask for the support you need, what happens to what you tell us, how to report a problem, and what we do and do not promise.
The English version of this document is the controlling version.
What support on a project can look like
Every Cognify project is the same real, paid-attention work as any other project on Forsa, delivered 100% remotely. What changes is how the work is set up around you. Common adjustments hosts on this pathway agree to:
- Written briefs and written summaries after calls, so nothing important lives only in speech.
- Captions or a transcript on video calls, and the option to keep your camera off.
- Flexible hours across the week instead of fixed daily windows, as long as agreed deadlines hold.
- Extra time on a task, or a task split into smaller steps with its own check-in.
- Screen-reader-friendly files and documents instead of images of text.
- A quieter review rhythm: fewer, longer check-ins rather than daily stand-ups.
- A named person to go to when something is unclear, instead of an open channel.
How to ask for support
You never have to name a diagnosis to get support, and you never have to send medical paperwork. You describe what helps you work. Here is the whole path:
- Sign up through the Cognify pathway, or turn it on later from your dashboard. It is one optional card, and you can leave it empty.
- Write what helps you in your own words: the format you prefer for briefs, the meeting setup that works, the pace you need.
- Apply to any project. Your request is not part of the match score and is never used to rank you.
- Once a host accepts you, the supervisor sees only the practical adjustments needed to run the project well.
- Your supervisor confirms what they can do at the first check-in, and you agree it together before the work starts.
- You can update or withdraw your request at any point during the placement.
If you ask before you apply, the setup is agreed in the first week of the placement. If you ask later, tell your supervisor and the Forsa team together, and we follow up within three working days.
Privacy: what we collect and who sees it
Disability-related information is the most sensitive thing you can tell us, and we treat it that way. Specifically:
- The Cognify preferences card is optional. Leaving it empty never affects your applications.
- We do not ask for a diagnosis, a medical report, or a disability certificate, and you should not upload one.
- Hosts do not see your preferences while they are reviewing applications. Nothing about it reaches the review screen.
- After a host accepts you, only your named supervisor sees the practical adjustments, and only for that project.
- The Forsa safety team can see it when they are handling a case you or your supervisor raised.
- It is never shown on your public profile, in match reasons, in search results, or to other interns.
- It is never sold, never shared with advertisers, and never used to train an outside model.
- You can delete it yourself from your dashboard, and we remove it from the record we keep of the placement.
For retention periods, the legal basis we rely on, and how to exercise your data rights, see Privacy.
Your control over the pathway
- Join the Cognify pathway, or leave it, at any time from your dashboard.
- Edit or clear what you wrote whenever you like; the new version replaces the old one.
- Ask for the record of what was shared with a host by writing to the Forsa team.
- Withdraw a support request mid-placement without giving a reason.
- Apply to any project on Forsa, on or off this pathway. The pathway adds support; it never restricts what you can see.
What we do not promise
Forsa provides structured work-based learning and employability support. Participation does not guarantee employment, income, investment, or acceptance by a host organization.
- Support is agreed project by project. A host may not be able to provide a specific adjustment, and they must tell you before the work starts rather than after.
- Being on the Cognify pathway does not give you priority in review, a reserved place, or an easier bar. The work and the standards are the same.
- Forsa is not a medical, therapeutic, or diagnostic service, and does not assess disability.
- Forsa does not provide equipment, assistive devices, internet access, or funding for them.
- We cannot promise a host will keep a project open, or that a placement will lead to a job offer.
- If a host will not honour what they agreed, tell us. We can suspend the project and look for a rematch, but we cannot force the host to continue.
Reporting a problem
If an agreed adjustment is ignored, if you are treated unfairly because you asked for support, or if anything feels unsafe, raise it. You will not lose your placement for reporting.
- Write to the Forsa team from the contact page, or reply to any Forsa email; both open a case.
- A named reviewer picks up the case and logs every step, so nothing is decided in a private conversation.
- We acknowledge within one working day and give you a first answer within three working days.
- We do not tell the host you raised a case until you agree what is shared.
- Serious cases can suspend a host's verification and stop them publishing new projects.
- If the placement cannot continue safely, we look for a rematch and your completed work stays on your record.
