Trust and safety

Verification is what makes the record worth anything

Forsa is remote-first, so supervision and safeguarding have to work online. If anyone could publish anything and claim anything, a Forsa record would mean nothing. These are the controls we run.

Host organization verification

  • Legal name, registration details, sector and website are checked before approval.
  • Contact ownership is confirmed on a domain or verifiable business channel.
  • A named supervisor with real responsibility, and a stated plan for supervising remotely, must be attached to every project.
  • Verification can be suspended or revoked at any point if standards slip.

Remote delivery standards

  • Every published project is 100% remote. Forsa does not publish on-site or hybrid roles, and hosts cannot require an intern to travel or relocate.
  • A video kick-off call and a recurring check-in cadence are mandatory, so no intern works unsupervised in isolation.
  • Hosts must state which tools are used and provide access; interns are never asked to buy software or equipment.
  • Working hours are agreed in writing and respect the intern's own time zone and study commitments. Always-online expectations are not permitted.
  • Any request to meet in person outside a scheduled, optional and clearly flagged event is a reportable breach.

Project quality review

  • Scope, tasks, deliverables, hours, duration and a remote supervision model are all mandatory.
  • Listings that are vague, purely observational, or effectively free labour are rejected.
  • Compensation is labelled honestly. Unpaid work must be genuinely developmental.
  • We reject requests that push an intern into unsupervised commercial delivery.

Anti-exploitation commitments

  • Applying is always free. Forsa does not charge interns to apply, and no payment affects selection.
  • No unpaid overtime, no unagreed scope creep, no substitution for a paid role.
  • Agreed weekly hours are a ceiling, not a starting point.
  • Interns may withdraw. Retaliation by a host is grounds for removal from the platform.

Intern data protection

  • CVs and identity documents are stored in restricted storage and are not publicly readable.
  • Host organizations see only what is relevant to selection and supervision.
  • Institutional reporting is aggregate unless the intern explicitly consents otherwise.
  • Consent is recorded with a timestamp and can be withdrawn.

Reporting, intervention and rematch

  • Any intern or supervisor can raise a support case at any stage.
  • We investigate, document the outcome, and act on the host or the placement as needed.
  • Where a placement fails through no fault of the intern, we prioritise a rematch.
  • Serious breaches result in suspension and removal of published projects.

Fair, explainable matching

  • Matching is rule based and shown to the intern in plain language.
  • Protected characteristics are never inputs to matching or ranking, and an intern's governorate is never used to exclude them.
  • Paid packages never influence ranking or selection.
  • Hosts always make their own selection decisions, with reasons recorded.

What we do not promise

Forsa provides structured work-based learning and employability support. Participation does not guarantee employment, income, investment, or acceptance by a host organization.

Safeguarding, labour, tax and data-protection documentation applicable to placements in Egypt is subject to [LEGAL REVIEW REQUIRED] before commercial launch.
